Job Opportunity at Construction Materials Consultants, Inc. 🔬

Are you a geology graduate with a passion for optical mineralogy and petrography? CMC, Inc. (www.cmc-concrete.com) is expanding its team and looking for a skilled concrete petrographer to join us in our mission.

As a concrete petrographer at CMC, Inc., you will play a crucial role in our laboratories, engaging in a diverse range of tasks from sample preparation to utilizing optical and electron microscopy techniques. Your expertise in wet chemical analyses and other analytical methods will be essential in ensuring the timely completion of our projects.

While industry experience in construction materials and forensic investigation is a bonus, we provide comprehensive in-house training on the chemistry and microstructure of cements and hydration products. Your knowledge of mineralogy and petrology will be invaluable in this role.
You will not only be able to work in one of the leading firms in concrete petrography with diverse analytical facilities but will have amazing opportunities for seamless migrations from optical microscopy to SEM-EDS, XRD, XRF, FTIR/Raman, chemical, TGA and many other methods of forensic investigations – from materials characterizations to failure investigations. Of course, extensive training will be provided at each step from theory to practice, and techniques of sample preparation.

As a cherry in the pie, you will be able to live in a two-story, 3 bedroom, single-family, fully furnished house directly adjacent to the laboratories at free of any rent, transportation, or utilities. The historic downtown with many architectural heritages from the mid-18th century will be at the stone-throwing distance from the house/labs.

If you are ready to take on this exciting opportunity and grow with us, please send your resume to info@cmc-concrete.com. Join us at CMC, Inc. and be part of our dynamic team dedicated to excellence in petrographic examinations and construction material analyses.
